SURF Competitive Swim Team

BHSAT is home to the SURF competitive swim team, which is open to children of all ages. The competitive team draws nearly 200 swimmers every season, ages 4-18 , all with different levels of swim experience. We compete in the Northwest Suburban Swim League, which hosts 15 other competitive programs in the greater Oakland County area. The team is lead by a very experienced and passionate coaching staff, is supported by an equally strong network of parent volunteers, and is our single biggest program the club offers.

The team competes in 6 dual meets, 2 "Finals" Championships, and age-leveled specialty swim meets throughout the season. The 2025 season kicks off Memorial Day Weekend and concludes with our A-Finals championship the last weekend in July. We close out every season with a celebratory team banquet which all swimmers and their families very much look forward to. Overall the team experience is a lot of fun, while also being structured and competitive, and it really is the best way for kids to meet and interact with other club members.
